Is it Authentic Enough For You?

Malaysia has a multiracial heritage that defines the country. Every foreign cuisine that enters this country will eventually have a Malaysian twist to it. The probable reason to this is because restaurants want to cater and meet the Malaysians taste bud. Wouldn’t that just damage the authenticity of Korean cuisine? Would you want to eat something that some what claims to be “Authentic”?

This also goes for the dining experience. A traditional Korean dining style is by sitting on the floor on individual seating mats with their legs crossed. Most Korean restaurant in Malaysian doesn’t offer this Korean dining experience. How can customers experience Korean culture then? Or probably Malaysian is having a hard time embracing other culture! Tell me what you think.

Korean food is definitely one of my favorite cuisines! I remembered going a Korean BBQ restaurant with a close friend and at the same time I had a true Korean dining experience in one of the restaurant in Ampang! I guess it really depends on the restaurant you choose! My advice is to bring a Korean friend when you want to try Korean food!

In my opinion it is hard to experience Korean culture while dining in Korean restaurant which is in Malaysia..and yes i do agree if Korean restaurants where exactly like they suppose to be it would be better,i would love to have my dinner in real Korean style. But from other side, for example in US the chinese food is totally different from real chinese cuisine, because as a business people firstly we have to think about customer preferences,if Malaysians find that Korean style of dining is embracing fine!!!as long as they happy and satisfied…

I think they are trying to copy korean culture but I think people wont take it warm heartedly. If they hire shief from korea also they cant adopt korean culture bcaz no one in this world cant copy culture.

Of Course, Malaysia is rich in serving varieties of Asian Cusines, Western cuisines and American Cusines. Of Cousre, Malaysia might not be able to provide the real Korean dining experience in perfect way to explore the Korean Culture. Hopefully this blog would help in creating awarness. I do agree with you.

Hotel industry plays an important role in malaysian economy and tourism, to experience korean cousines here in malaysia its not that a person will get full taste of food same like back in korea, but still its good to have korean restaurants to provide multi cultural environment in malaysia.

It is great blog about introducing korean food… However, korean restuarants have limitation to get the customers because the food is not suitable for muslim… In other side, it can be possible to reach specific target market so, it has chance to get sucessful in Malaysia market…
